Statistics

We use official statistics, link to the exact table, and say what the figures cover: the area, the period, what was counted and how many cases sit behind a percentage. Where we calculate something new, such as a rate per 100, we show how and publish the numbers as a download.

Product guides

We compare products using the manufacturer's current UK product pages, manuals, data sheets and declarations, checked on the date shown on each guide. We have not used or tested the products. Our tables compare documented features, not measured performance. Where a manufacturer states a standard or certification for a specific model, we quote it and link to it. We don't claim a certification the manufacturer doesn't state.
